Hi Anthony,

I updated the home page. It now contains a little comparison between CuttingEdge.Logging, log4net and the Logging Application Block. I hope this answers your question.

Cheers.

Hi mleger,

Thanks for your interest in CuttingEdge.Logging. If you like to see the TcpLoggingProvider and UdpLoggingProvider being added to a future release of the CuttingEdge.Logging library, please create a work item with a feature request in the Issue Tracker (one work item per provider). Please be as explicit as possible what these providers should do and how they should work. Please keep in mind that developing even a simple provider takes time, because it has to be designed, written, (unit) tested, documented and eventually released.

Remember that if you need these loggers a.s.a.p., you can always write your own implementation by inheriting from LoggingProviderBase. You can compile this code in its own assembly or use an existing project assembly (for an example of a custom provider, please see the project's homepage).

Cheers
