System.Security.SecurityException

Jun 3, 2010 at 2:52 PM

I'm having a problem with the AspNetSqlLogger; when I try to log an entry I receive a SecurityException: -

A first chance exception of type 'System.Security.SecurityException' occurred in CuttingEdge.Logging.DLL

A first chance exception of type 'System.Security.SecurityException' occurred in StatisticsWebPage.DLL

'System.Security.SecurityException' occurred in CuttingEdge.Logging.DLL

Can anyone tell me what is causing this? I presume the ASPNET user doesn't have the relevant permissions but not sure where to configure this and I don't want this user to run with Admin rights; assuming that this is even causing the issue.

Cheers,

Lee

Ok, problem solved - I changed userNameRetrievalType=None and that resolved the issue :-)

Hi Clemouk,

Thank you for using CuttingEdge.Logging.

The exception occured because you configured the userNameRetrievalType to Membership, while you didn't configure a membership provider. This issue is described in more detail in here and will be fixed in the next release.

Cheers
